Re: 420
Today is 20/4, not 4/20. Not such thing as a 20th month. What are you, American?

When you speak the date do you then say today is 20th April (20/4), or do you say its April 20th (4/20)? See the date and time stamp of your post. Month, date, year. That is even how The Times writes the date. This website is in English. It's not just an American thing. Get over it. What are you, German?Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote:Today is 20/4, not 4/20. Besides, the number 420 originally started as a time after school when kids used to get high, 4:20. Not sure or really care how the date became something of note, but it apparently is to some pot smokers in the US.

I wondered about that 420 when I came across this hemp/marijuana advocacy page on FB. Still too lazy to look it up.

Yeah but you've taken too many punches to the head and therefore can't be used as an example of anything. You probably like Oasis, FFS.Jamie_Lambo wrote: im english and i'd say its the 20th of April, not April 20th, in fact i almost have to put on an american accent on order to say it that way lol

yesterday was 4-20

Turns out 420 found its roots in the Bay Area in 1971. The story goes that a group of San Rafael teens, known as the Waldos, would regularly meet at a statue on their high school campus at 4:20pm, before heading off to Point Reyes in search of an alleged field of pot. Despite weeks of searching, they never found it, but they did find themselves unwittingly changing the history of popular culture, thanks to a connection within the Grateful Dead, who made the phrase go from local shorthand to a global movement.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Bay area? San Rafael? Translate that for non-Americans, please.phuketrichard wrote:yesterday was 4-20
