They grow in dams and other water courses and were great fun to catch with a bit of meat on a string when we were kids where we lived out in the bush.

Unlike every other country, so the point about Australians is kinda moot.

Gonk had a pet yabbie. It misbehaved with his other marine life (not in a kinky way) so he mutilated it. I worry about Gonk, at times.
