Shrimp Farming

Post by Andy S Tawatin »

I've been talked into buying a basic kit for farming shrimp. t was sold as being way too easy, but then it seems to be working for the illiterate neighbors in Takeo. Any tips, I really have no idea, but guess oxygen, filtration and pH are key.

How about water? Won't be a major problem until November I guess, but after that?

These are freshwater, similar to crawdaddy/yabby. Couldn't tell you the exact species. A bit like this Image

Not believing the 'money for nothing' line being sold, but minimum investment, so will wait and see.

Have a look at this video about farming yabbies. I've set it to start from the Feeding Yabbies section. Worth a watch.

I love doing this, like catching any type of seafood in mangroves or open waters. Could you add some links so people can see whats going on?

No chance, keeping this a secret in case it either a) Is a massive success and I become the crawfish daddy of south PP or b) It fails massively and I lose a few hundred bucks.

It's touch and go.
