Rural Fence Options

Post by bobagubi »

Howdy,

The upcoming season will bring many bovines freely tromping through the community. We want to rebuild our shoddy 'natural fence' to prepare for the onslaught of hungry beasts. Any experience regarding materials, styles, costs, etc., would be greatly appreciated.

Our roughly rectangular land is roughly 90m x 30m.

Som akun, som chumreablea.

Bovine proof fences should be strong like this one.

Cheapest is the 1.5-2m cement posts with 2-3 rows of barbed wire, though everyone will tell you to build a 3m Fort Knox brick wall... I personally hate the aesthetics of most fences, but if it's just for cows, it'll be the cheapest. Around 10000r/post, plus around 15 bricks per post and a few bags of cement will do the job. They'll probably charge you per post (labour), maybe $2-5 depending where you're at.
