My geese are really loud

Post by giblet »

My geese have finally learned to honk, and they aren't afraid to use it. They are LOUD. So far no one has complained, but my landlord lives next door and his house (as per) goes right to the property line so his bedroom window is not far from where the geese like to hang out. I am not sure if I should pretend nothing is happening or buy him a fruit basket or something. I am worried that if I give him an opening to talk about it, he will tell me to get rid of them. My neighbors on the other side have a dozen dogs and several roosters, so I am not worried about them. But my landlord has no loud animals (and is a very nice guy) so I am worried about disturbing him. Is there any way I can keep my landlord happy without infringing on my geese's lives, liberty and pursuit of happiness?

Funnily enough, I thought about titling my post that but worried it would diminish the gravitas of my situation.

When you cannot hear those geese honk, then I would start to worry about them.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Ask your landlord to feed the geese.

If you can get him to do this a couple of times
they will win him over.

(disclaimer: my geese are egyptian, so maybe they
are more endearing.)

I'm afraid my geese might scare him, they go crazy when they meet someone new! Do you really have Egyptian geese? How did you get them?

They adopted me. A breeding pair. Every year they
pick a location for the nest and make me put in a pool
and think about how to keep away the neighbors cat,
and buy them stuff at the grocery store. It is like they
are keeping me in a cage. Whatever part of the property
I am in they come and find me and do that noise.
