Would only work if you would store the seaweed deep into the Earth, otherwise the CO2 will be released when the seaweed is consumed / degrades.

That's above my understanding, but I can say this ... the sea fungus famous in Okinawa fallen "MOZUKA" contains "FUCOIDIAN" ... is well know for it's ability to kill cancer cells in vitro. That is just one of many things consumed in Okinawa that contributes to that society having the highest percentage of people living beyond 100 ... The Centurians of Okinawa.
