https://www.facebook.com/ChoiceCambodiaCharity/
i work with the young guys on their staff by way of vocational training for young adults who have no trade.
hopefully it may extend to older people in time.
right now their main focus is water provision to 5 villages and a k-12 school for category 1 poverty card holders.

they are interested now in trying to help the young people just coming into the work force to have their own business.

there is rather high risk ( pesticides ) but also- very good reward IF successful.

pilot phase now.

BTW, NONE of the foreign staff of CHOICE receive any salary or financial benefit at all from the charity.
In fact, some of the expats work it like a full time job,and also make substantial financial contributions as well.

I really think you need to advertise this more, flb.
Not quite sure how to do it, tbh

well i do not have much because i am making new colonies as fast as possible so the bees use nearly all the honey making new baby bees and wax for now.
maybe christmas time i will have enough to try and sell it.
but for now i have so little that i would rather just let it coast along so there is a consistent supply for those already buying it.

Are you implying that you're as busy as a bee?

yeah busy buying sugar and new housing
it is like yeast in a ferment- the population expansion is phenomenal and you can't just stop it.
i am selling 1/2 my new colonies just for some breathing space while i am away for 3 weeks.
that money will go into woodware and wax and my 20 odd colonies i leave in early october will split to 50 or 60 if i make new queens and do small splits and building up by christmas to produce honey or make 3 new splits each

will get some pics in the next couple days

Good luck to you FLB. Here's another depressing report on bees and pesticides in case you were feeling too happy. Nowhere is safe. :o

Honey tests reveal global contamination by bee-harming pesticides
October 5, 2017
Neonicotinoid insecticides are found in 75% of global honey samples and half contain a cocktail of chemicals.
The honey analyses, published in the journal Science, began as a citizen science project when researchers at the Botanical Garden of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, asked people to donate honey collected from around the world between 2012 and 2016. They received hundreds of samples and analysed 198 of known local origin for the five main types of neonicotinoid.

Contamination rates were highest in North America with 86% of samples containing one or more neonicotinoid, followed by Asia (80%) and Europe (79%). It was lowest in South America at 57%. Almost half the samples contained a cocktail of the insecticides.

“The striking finding is that 75% of our samples had measurable quantities,” said Prof Edward Mitchell at the University of Neuchâtel. “That was surprising to us, since our coverage included many remote areas, including oceanic islands.”
