17 year old marries

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Still, a 70 year old? Yikes. That's wierd.
How old do you feel inside? I feel like a depressed teenager myself. It's one of life's little jokes surely?
Rather him than me. I expect it depends a lot on the 17yo woman/girl/slave/child.

I remember a morning interview on the Today program, Radio 4 with John Humphrys interviewing a lady from Save the Children iirc talking about the age for marriage needing to be 21 in Africa. Humphrys' foolishly suggested that may be a bit old. You should have heard the stream of vitriol that came back. :D A bit like a certain recent response from someone with red hair.

It still is when the guy is like 18 or 19.

Not a geriatric.
