What Thais do well...

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

What Thais do well...

Post by Raybull »

It's done the social rounds,
https://www.stickboybangkok.com/news/nu ... ed-photos/
And If you follow the links it leads to this,
https://www.stickboybangkok.com/videos/ ... y-footage/
Which brings me back to the title, what Thais do well....coyote parties!
Having lived in northern Thailand with a few stints in Bangkok for the greater part of my twenties, but happily away now for a few years, there's not much i truly miss, sure the grub is better, girls on average are a step above, and the general thai fun culture away from the tourist areas, but when I want to party and debauch hard, I can honestly say that I really miss the crazy karaoke sessions and coyote parties in thai bars (and I don't mean the foreign gogo bar coyote concept!). Getting drunk with a few khmer girls and some friends at ktv here is rarely as exciting.
Nearly a couple years back a Khmer friend and I thought about taking over an out of the way hotel resort (cue sitcom...Where everybody knows your name) in Shv and turning it into a thai style coyote bar and Ktv (aimed at Khmers obviously), like a mini The Pimp or Pent with a pool. Alas, after a few meetings with my associate's boss we put it on hold.

there was a suitable poolbar that went up for sale earlier this year, near the victory hill area, me and my mate from Pattaya talked about doing a similar thing to what you said (he lives in Pattaya but trying to move to SHV) but decided against it
might have been the same place you were looking at

Doubt it's the same place, this place was gay before. 30ish nice rooms, nice pool and bar, private (except for drones I guess). Anyways the business plan is still there, just the concept is questionable for Shv and it wouldn't float with that type of venue design, ie. mixed ktv, coyote club and rooms, without never-ending backhanders and a couple hundred thou$ to get it properly going.

I know I'm going to sound like an idiot, but what's a coyote party? A sort of strip bar party or something?

You never sound like an idiot BKL. However, in an attempt to answer your question...

Back home it was this:

When I was in Bangkok, the word “coyote” brought to mind this:

I used to admire how Tansanee would always sweat profusely
but her makeup would never smear
and she would still smell great.

coyote
usually girls working in Go Go's that attract the punters in as they are the 8,9"s and 10's
and to buy them a drink cost double the others an to take them out,, forget it till after midnight as they are there to attract customers.

In PP think Darling girls compared to street 104 hostess's

They are also hired for Car shows, Rock shows, big parties, etc.

Good friend of mines wife's niece is one, she averages over 2,500 baht/day (does rock, car shows) and no after hours stuff
gets around 20 jobs/month.....

would never work in Cambodia as the goverment wont even allow dancers in bars
recall many tired in PP to open Thai style go go's an got arrested/fined
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

i really dont see the appeal with Agogo bars, paying highly inflated bar prices to sit in a bar whilst a parade of girls with numbers on unenthusiastically 2 step dance to shit music, constantly trying to make eye contact with you with a 'pick me pick me' face on, and even if there was a girl that caught your eye it would cost over inflated prices...

Agree.

How times have degraded from the original model!
Cut the braids, win the girl!
