Brit and Australian in Stun Gun Fight outside Central Pattaya Guesthouse
Posted on February 2, 2015 at 4:04 am
On Saturday Pattaya Police were made aware of an alleged assault which occurred in Soi Honey Inn in Central Pattaya where a Stun Gun was used and a British National sustained minor injuries.
The incident occurred outside of the Chill Out Guesthouse and Bar which is reportedly owned by Mr. Barry Roscarel aged 65 from Australia.
A complaint was made by Mr. Phillip Stevens also aged 65 from UK, who had sustained a cut to his elbow and facial bruising during the altercation. He claimed that while walking past the Bar, he noticed Mr. Roscarel fighting with a Thai Woman, who was later identified as Mr. Roscarel’s wife. Mr. Stevens told Police that he decided to intervene and attempt to stop the fight when Mr. Roscarel turned his anger towards Mr. Stevens. During a fight, a Stun Gun was produced by Mr. Roscarel which Police later seized as evidence.
At Pattaya Police Station the two men were brought together to explain their actions and Mr. Roscarel claimed that he used the stun gun in self-defense as he felt concerned for his personal safety.
No criminal charges have been brought against either party for now as Police continue to investigate the incident.
