King Vajiralongkorn’s latest trip to Thailand is going badly wrong for the palace.
The royal barge procession was mysteriously postponed, with serial liar Wissanu Krea-ngam telling a fake story about the reasons.
Now Bangkok is abuzz with rumours that the king’s main mistress, Noble Consort Koi, has done something wrong and is being punished.
Meanwhile, Bangkok Post journalist Wassana Nanuam, who has good military contacts, says there will be a major announcement soon, which has sparked even more gossip and rumours. This was poor journalism by Wassana, there is no value in making vague statements, she should explain what she was talking about rather than just deleting her post.
The next few days will be interesting, to see if there are any more sightings of Koi, and to discover if there really will be a big announcement.

After her repeated disobedience and attempts of interference with the royal affairs, the statement said, His Majesty the King graciously bestowed her the title of Royal Noble Consort in July out of hope that Sineenat would “lessen her pressure” and change her tact.
Instead, Sineenat continued to display “ambition” and overstepped her authority by engaging in many royal court activities without His Majesty the King’s approval, which caused much confusion to the public, the statement said.

On 19 January 2009, Harry Nicolaides, an Australian national, was sentenced to three years in prison for self-publishing a fictional book deemed to have violated lèse majesté. The offending passage alluded to rumours that "if the prince fell in love with one of his minor wives and she betrayed him, she and her family would disappear with their name, familial lineage and all vestiges of their existence expunged forever". Nicolaides was later pardoned by the king. If you live in Thailand, it is probably wise not to have an opinion and certainly wise not to publish your opinion if a fictional book can land you in prison. I have read there is a prison inside the palace walls but I am not stating there is. If there is a prison, then I am sure those that are incarcerated there deserve their punishment.
