Re: Thailand Versus Cambodia
Think the meal is 6-7USD. Been years for me, so not sure.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 11:11 am i just had a big mac Meal ( with water and fries) the other day, 1st one in 3 months 210 baht $6.80
I assume the above is the price of a Big Mac ONLY
Re: Thailand Versus Cambodia
Ok, challenge. Come up with some examples of the food where the same food in Thailand is significantly cheaper than in Cambodia.
Since loads of food, or ingredients of the food, in Cambodia come from Thailand they're more expensive here because of taxes, (inefficient) transport, etc etc. Add to that the ridiculous rents / land prices in Cambodia and you have a mix of ingredients making Cambodia more expensive than Thailand for many products.

Quite impossible, if you read why I'm living here at the first place.Big Daikon wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 9:54 am Wouldn't it be easier to be an antisocial loner in one's own country?
No judgement, serious question.

My social life has been much the same in two countries. If I moved to a 3rd country, I'd probably do the same.

Just cereal , cake and ice cream
He got every super hero from the kids meals

mossie wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 8:17 am Number one thing why I live in Cambodia and not in Thailand, is the easy to get 1 year visa here.
In Thailand visa policy is something else...
When it comes to the Thai and Khmer people attitudes towards F(B)arangs, is that we are mostly tolerated 80%.
Liked 10% max / disliked, hated, etc. other negative responses 30%.
Major generalisation or not.
I'm living in this part of the world because of the weather anyway. I do my best to avoid and ignore natives with based on experience.
Foreigner also. I've become antisocial loner and I love it.

Re: Thailand Versus Cambodia
Talking about visas, in Thailand being more advanced the price is fixed, although you need money sat in the bank.
Here in Cambodia there's the price of visa at immigration and a higher price at the agents. How many of you go directly to immigration? With supporting documents. No money in the bank at this time.

Always "hope" but never "expect".
