Thailand Travel Restrictions and Info

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

We cannot say anything with confidence for the next six months, that much I can say with confidence.

Seriously, nobody can tell you. Also, some "Westerners" will probably qualify a lot sooner than others.

I suggest that we can say with confidence that we can not plan anything with confidence ?

Phuket was due to "welcome" 120-150 ( no one seemed to know which figure it was) Chinese "tourists" today BUT
thats out the door
BANGKOK, Oct 7 (TNA) – The resort island of Phuket has postponed reopening to foreign tourists until the end of the Vegetarian Festival to create confidence among local tourists.

Deputy Director-General of the Department of Disease Control Dr. Kajornsak Kaewcharat said the first group of 150 Chinese tourists, earlier scheduled to arrive in Phuket on Oct8 will come after Oct 25.

Utterly bizarre, if they can't even decide when to let in a couple of hundred what hope is there? Doesn't really send out the right message to anyone thinking about going through the considerable hoops and expenses to get here that your trip could be postponed depending how the wind of public opinion is blowing any particular day.

Will you feel any safer in 3 weeks time Richard when they turn up? It makes zero difference surely.
Yes sir, I can boogie, I can boogie, boogie, boogie all night long.
