Thailand Travel Restrictions and Info

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Thailand shuts its doors on foreign flights until June 30.

Ban extended.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) on Saturday (May 16) extended the ban on international flights from 12.01am of June 1 to 11.59pm on June 30.

The announcement cited the need to continue measures for preventing the spread of Covid-19.
Its previous diktat on April 27 had banned international flights from May 1 to 31.
However, state or military aircraft, emergency landings, technical landings, humanitarian and relief flights, as well as cargo aircraft, will be exempted.

Interesting. Not even regional exceptions. I reckon many European countries (Italy, Greece, Croatia for example) will be open before then.

That means no mail service until July at the earliest. I wonder how long before this foolishness is over. It is getting more and more difficult to take anything this government does seriously. It seems like they won't stop until they have completely destroyed the country.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Greece opened her beaches today and is gearing up for foreign tourists starting in July. Italy is starting in June.

You have to feel sorry for the Thai people, who live under the thumb of one of the most inbred ruling class ever
