Thailand To Issue 6 Month Multiple EntryVisas To All Nations

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Thailand To Issue 6 Month Multiple EntryVisas To All Nations

Post by wackyjacky »

They're hoping it'll kick-start the economy. I'm wondering if it may facilitate an exodus of skilled labor from CMB. The expats who left when they tightened Visa requirements may boomerang back now too as it'll be tougher to get a Visa here. 5000B/6 months seems resonable enough too.LINK: http://www.nationmultimedia.com/nationa ... 66029.html

if ur going to post a topic post the full heading

Plan to grant multiple-entry visas to tourists from all nations

nothing at all to do with work for that u still need a non B visa or
if u can swing it an ur from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar a L-A visa valid for 2 years

Double entry tourist visa in Laos 2,500 ( or any western country an even triple entries available)
2 extensions @1,900 each= 6,300
and u get the 6 months
so not a huge saving over what it is now

^^^^^ Couldn't fit it in. I used up every space. That's why EntryVisa is one word. Farang will certainly be working on these visas without work permits especially in the bad English schools. You're right about the savings, but the pain in the ass factor is eliminated. Plus, every visit to Immigration leaves the possibility of being considered an abuser of the system and being denied in the past.

By coincidence my last ever triple entry application went into London yesterday, 5,500 in total when you factor in expensive postage and postal order charges. At least one trip to PP before January and possibly check out Vietnam for the first time ever :Yahoo!: Then it's the non-immigrant o coversion and annual extension of stay which happily will only involve a stroll down to Jomtien immigration. :Yahoo!: Be glad when its finally over and my travel plans don't have to worked around visa status.

Been in the UK for the last 4 months but I'm wondering when I read the usual mention of "quality" tourists that the reality of the mass influx of Chinese tourists, absence of Russians, decline in traditional markets and neighbours being more open visa wise are all contributing to the about turn. That's on top of the fact of who's running the country and the negative effect that has. Flights from the UK at the moment are the lowest I can ever remember in all my years which will have the fuel effect obviously. Maybe this is a pre-emptive strike ahead of the "high" season.
