Re: Thailand to get tough on foreigners working without work permits, employers also targeted
A lot of menial jobs in Germany and the UK (at least for the time being) done by legal foreigners, things like picking strawberries or gherkins. Back-breaking jobs and guess what? In neither country, the respective citizens want to do them.
And as Jamie said: if you are competing with illegal Thai (I will take your word for it) workers, you made some bad career choices along the way.

same as america;
all the fruit /vegetable picking is done by migrant labor up and down the west coast
There having a big deal now in Washington state where they want to raise the min wage to $17 /hour
got me thinking
For most, ( in america), i would think min age is ur first job or a job ur doing while ur in school but
i wonder for how many actually thats the best they can do?
MY first real job was in the sears shoe dept $3.50/hour + 7% commission.
I hear in Australia is up around $A20/hour ( $US15.2)

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Actually the comment is not as stupid as you seem to think because I believe 20,000 deportations annually is far beyond any problems of foreigners working illegally in Thailand or Cambodia?hanno wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2017 11:59 amWhat a stupid comment.....saigonjackpot wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2017 5:46 am They should fine all Thais working abroad , but this wouldn't happen because its not racist if it's against the west
All the Thais working abroad? Where exactly? Many Thais in Germany but, surprise, they need a work permit and/or residence papers. Just as is the case in pretty much most of the world.
Let me guess: some Thais took your job picking 2-Baht pineapples?
Thousands of Thais becoming "Little Ghosts" in South Korea
https://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/98 ... uth-korea/So many Thais are now going to work illegally in South Korea that they have been given a name.
The term used is "Phee Noi" or little ghosts
Thais are easily able to get into the country on a 90 day tourist visa exemption. Many then disappear to work illegally.
Sanook reported that it is easy for Thais to get a monthly salary of 50,000 baht, and possibly a lot more, by working in South Korea.
It has been reported recently that 20,000 are deported annually for working illegally and at any one time there are thought to be many times that figure in the country illegally.

Hannos point is that he shouldnt be fishing around the same work offers as illegally working immigrants, if he is, then justobelisks wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2017 4:10 pmActually the comment is not as stupid as you seem to think because I believe 20,000 deportations annually is far beyond any problems of foreigners working illegally in Thailand or Cambodia?hanno wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2017 11:59 amWhat a stupid comment.....saigonjackpot wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2017 5:46 am They should fine all Thais working abroad , but this wouldn't happen because its not racist if it's against the west
