Australian revellers have admitted to being offered a string of illicit drugs at Thailand's notorious full moon party.

Every month, thousands of young Australians head to Thai island Koh Phangan to indulge in the full moon celebrations, but in doing so they may be putting themselves in harm's way.

An A Current Affair hidden camera investigation at the infamous beach party has captured dealers offering reporter Ben McCormack both ecstacy and MDMA.

Australian party goers also admitted on camera to being offered drugs.

As well as these illicit offerings, the crowds have easy access to magic mushrooms, a strong hallucinogenic.

Revellers were also captured sucking on balloons, filled not with air but with nitrous oxide, otherwise known as laughing gas, for $3 per balloon.

Never heard nor read of magic mushrooms being available in Thailand. Do you think this is true or just the writer making the story rock and roll along?

We had them in Florida, USA. No better high in the world but you had to control it. I once overdosed and had to pull over out in the country. I was in the back seat of my own car, on the floor, trying to crawl under the front seat when the unknown passerby stopped to see if everything was okay. It wasn't.

Make tea, sip it, reach the high you want before tripping, and be happy.

So, again, are they really here in Thailand?
