Thailand e-cigarette warning; fine or jail for possession.

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Selling cigarettes in a civil war: ‘If you have no government, you have nobody annoying you about health warnings and nicotine content.’
Lol. Sometimes, you don't even need to not have a government. How much pressure do you think the tobacco companies are putting on the governments of most banned ecig countries? Via corrupted politicians, or just ministers that are on the board of directors.

Revealed: how British American Tobacco exploited war zones to sell cigarettes

"The documents describe how cartons of cigarettes were distributed to traders hidden in black bags in Somalia after Al-Shabaab banned sales and threatened punishments under Sharia law between late 2008 and early 2009.

They also show that BAT made plans to launch in South Sudan just two days before it gained independence from the north after years of destruction from a civil war that left 4 million people displaced.

And they tell of a town in eastern DRC that is not on any map, created by BAT to produce and process tobacco leaf, where, according to a whistleblower, millions of dollars were delivered to pay farmers and staff, carried in secretly.
