Teen dies in another "death from balcony" in Thailand.
Unfortunately, it looks like drugs are responsible for yet another "death from balcony" misadventure. This time the victim was only 17 years old.
Irish Teenager Dies Following Bangkok Balcony Jump
A teenager from Northern Ireland has died in a Bangkok hospital from the injuries he sustained after jumping from a fifth floor balcony on Wednesday afternoon.
Police and emergency services were called to a condo on Sukhumvit 109 at around 2pm on Wednesday afternoon and found 17-year-old Jules Farrelly laid on the ground below the eight storey building with multiple injuries.
He was rushed to Chaiprakarn Hospital in Samut Prakan but despite the efforts of medical staff he later died, according to a family friend.
Police said neighbours on the sixth floor had reported a disturbance in the teenagers room and when building security went to investigate they found him running around the fifth floor landing like a “madman” before he ran back into his room shouting and jumped off the balcony.
During a search of his apartment, it was reported a white power, believed to be Ketamine was found on the coffee table along with an open packet of paracetamol that had several pills missing. There was no sign of a disturbance in the room and nothing appeared to be missing.
Witnesses say the teenager had company the previous night but was alone at the time of the jump with all his guests leaving earlier in the day...
