Swiss guy in phuket getting into Heat (rightly deserved)

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

UPDATE:
PHUKET – The “David Kicks the Doctor” case, which occurred on February 24 near the beach of Phuket Province, has had far-reaching consequences, including inspections of beach land, foreigners who come to work in Thailand, and even the procession of firearms.

On March 8, 2024, immigration officials announced that Swiss national Mr. Fehr, also known as David, had posted bail of 100,000 baht to fight a case involving the assault of a Thai doctor and the revocation of his visa. However, he might be faced with more accusations.

The Immigration Bureau has granted bail to Mr. Fehr for 30 days on the condition that he live in approved housing, report to authorities every 15 days, not accept employment or engage in illegal activities, and not leave the country. Mr. Fehr also authorised a representative to appeal the revocation of his visa to the immigration authorities.

In the case of firearms, David possesses two firearms, a handgun, a Glock, and a rifle, and has a Grade 4 licence to own and use firearms after seeking authorization for buying and possessing them in the name of the foundation.

Lot of holes in this story.

Guilty, until proven rich.

"Sorry late, your honour, Longines playing up, so swissched to my TAG. ROLEX for the wife perhaps?"

"Report every 15 days"

"Ok... so that's just the once then? I'll send the doppelganger, call if you need another 100k, to make go away, see you at the club, and may our wives and mistresses never meet."

That's great that foreigners can easily get gun licenses in Thailand, it's tricky here. What guns do you have Richard?

Phuket authorities will revoke the elephant foundation licence of the Swiss man who allegedly kicked a Thai woman doctor on a beach, after cancelling his gun licences, according to the Phuket governor.
-------------
According to Governor Sophon, the Green Elephant Sanctuary Park has 14 elephants, 13 of which are hired and one brought from the northern province of Phrae. Why will become of the elephant is unknown.

According to its website, the park spans 40,000 square metres and is located on Soi Cherngtalay 1 Road near Surin Beach in Thalang district.

Authorities have already withdrawn the licenses for a pistol and rifle. Mr Fehr owned the pistol, while the Elephant Foundation owned the rifle.

Phuket—At 3:50 PM, on March 16th, 2024, Chalong police officers captured two New Zealand nationals who allegedly refused to pull over for a traffic offense, evaded police arrest, and were later accused of assaulting an officer who pursued them in Mueang, Phuket.

According to the police report, Chalong patrol police were performing their regular duty on Chaofa East Road, in front of the Chalong police station. Two foreigners on motorbikes did not follow the traffic laws, not riding close to the left side of the road and riding at high speed in a community area, according to Chalong police.

The police on duty asked for cooperation from them to stop their motorbikes. However, the two violators then allegedly attempted to flee from the police. After the police pursuit, the two foreigners were infuriated and allegedly attacked the police while having the incident recorded by the police.

The situation escalated as the foreigners allegedly attempted( LOL looking at the photo, he got it ) to snatch the officers’ firearm causing the gun to fire once, nobody was injured, according to the police.

The police were able to forcibly apprehend them shortly after and escorted them to Chalong police station for further legal processing.
The two suspects were publicly identified as Mr. Hamish Day, a 36-year-old New Zealand national, and Mr. Oscar Mattson Day, a 38-year-old New Zealand national. They were facing harsh legal charges for conspiring to physically assault police officers and other related charges. As of press time both men remain in police custody and have not released any statements to explain the incident. The officer who was allegedly assaulted suffered arm and leg injuries.

Singaporean Motorbike Rider Charged After Allegedly Attacking a Phuket Traffic Police Officer
A Singaporean motorbike rider faces legal charges after he allegedly defamed and attacked a traffic police officer in Cherng Talay.
Corporal Siripetch Ketmoon of the Cherng Talay Traffic Police told the Phuket Express that he was on duty with other traffic police officers on Wednesday (March 13th) at a traffic checkpoint at an intersection near a traffic police box at noon in front of the Cherng Talay Police Station.

Russian tourist murdered in Phuket cannabis factory. Prime suspect flees as chilling details emerge of a 41-year-old Russian man who was found dead. The main suspect, a Tajik tourist, fled Thailand as an investigation ramps up. Police suspect an illicit drug link to what appears to have been a violent murder on the holiday island.

A 41-year-old Russian tourist was found murdered in the Chalong sub-district of Phuket on Wednesday morning. Significantly, police found his body at a private residence being used as an unlicensed marijuana-growing factory. Similarly, officers revealed that their main suspect, a Tajik national, simultaneously flew out of the country on Tuesday night. At the same time, forensic officers suggested that the Russian only died within an 8 to 12-hour time window. The victim’s body was discovered by police on Wednesday morning after his girlfriend raised the alarm.

update on the two Kiwis assaulting a cop

"Meanwhile, the millionaire parents of the two suspects, who are brothers, have spoken to the New Zealand press about the situation, which you can read here. In brief, they stated they were shocked by the situation, had obtained the services of a lawyer, and described the suspects as “Just two kids on vacation”, stressing that both men had families and children of their own who were deeply concerned about them."

LOL
General Surachet has informed the press that he has instructed Major General Songprod Sirisukkha, the Immigration Region 6 Commander, to cancel the visas of the two New Zealand men in question and prohibit their entry into Thailand in the future. The Chalong Police Chief, Colonel Eakkarat Plaiduang, revealed that these two individuals are currently being taken to the Phuket Provincial Court today (March 18th).

The two suspects are facing charges related to robbery, assaulting or resisting an officer on duty, and driving without a valid license. Despite allegedly attempting to bribe the police to avoid further charges, their efforts were unsuccessful.
