Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.
The city I live just outside of in Thailand, Sisaket, has been struck with tragedy. 13 male students from the same technical school were partying to celebrate the end of their internship at an autobody shop in Sumat Prakan were killed when the pickup truck they were riding in overturned and lost control. The boys had been drinking and eating at the shop and then went to a morlum music hall. CCTV videos of the accident are horrific with the truck skidding sideways and crashing into a cement electric post. 12 youth were in the back of the truck and 5 in the cab. Unconfirmed reports on facebook state that only the driver is expected to live with many posts of the young men enjoying themselves at the dinner and of course the photos taken by the rescue drivers of headless bodies and such. A convoy of 12 ambulances has left Sumat for Sisaket with their remains. Sisaket is a city of 125,000 people located 240 km north of Siem Reap, about 70 km into Thailand.
