Russian murdered in Central Pattaya rented apartment

The body of a 34 year old Russian man was discovered in a 2nd floor room at an apartment complex in Central Pattaya on Saturday and Police are treating the case as a murder investigation.

Staff at the Porn Apartments in Soi Arunothai became worried after the occupier of room number 204, who was due to check-out on Saturday had failed to do so and it appeared he was still inside the room.

When the apartment door was opened the body of Mr. Fedro was discovered and it appeared he had been dead for at least 2 days.

He had sustained multiple stab wounds to his chest, cuts to his neck and injuries to his face consistent with being punched.

Khun Ponpan aged 20, who works at the apartments, told Police that the victim had checked in with three other Russian’s and the group had rented two rooms on the 2nd floor.

The other 3 men had left at the start of April and claimed they had to go to Bangkok to obtain replacement passports, leaving Mr. Fedro alone in one of the rooms.

On Saturday Police inspected the room and saw evidence of a serious struggle and the three other Russians are currently prime suspects in this murder case as Police continue to locate and arrest them at this time.

Pattaya Police announced on Monday afternoon the arrest of two Russian Nationals, in connection with the recent murder of a 34 year old Russian at a Central Pattaya Apartment complex.

The body of Mr. Gusev Fedor was found in a 2nd floor room at the Porn House Apartments in Soi Arunothai on Saturday. With obvious stab wounds to his chest and cuts to his neck it was clear to Police that he had been murdered and the only suspects Police knew about were three Russians who were known to be friends with the victim who had moved out prior to the discovery of the body.

Police arrested Mr. Roman Chernykh aged 21 and Mr. Akbar Mamasadykov aged 20 on Jomtien Beach on Monday Morning following a tip-off. They initially denied murdering Mr. Fedor but later confessed to the murder, according to Police. The third member of their group had already returned to Russia prior to the murder taking place.

The two suspects claimed that Mr. Fedor would constantly get drunk and would become loud and offensive which angered the pair who reportedly planned to kill him.

They were already in a stressful state due to lack of funds which forced them to move from a rented house to low budget accommodation in Central Pattaya, which they also struggled to pay for.

Both suspects took part in a reconstruction and were earlier charged with murder and visa overstay and will be held on-remand pending Court proceedings.
