RIP Mark Fenn (Chiang Mai Expat Dies, Age 38)

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

RIP Mark Fenn (Chiang Mai Expat Dies, Age 38)

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

Mark Fenn, CityNews editor (2014-2015) passed away in his sleep early Sunday morning. He was 38 years old. Mark was a journalist who was passionate about politics and who had worked in highly regarded publications including the South China Morning Post, the Bangkok Post and the Straits Times.

During his stay with CityNews he wrote many pieces about Thai politics and dedicated himself to sharing and raising awareness of the hardships of marginalised communities in Chiang Mai. The Foreign Correspondence Club of Thailand paid him tribute by saying “he was loved for his exceptional wit, and his passionate takes on politics and human rights.”

Never met Mark but James Austin Farrell (providing the eulogy) is a really nice guy - so I'm guessing Mark would have been too.
