Police consider prosecuting Koh Tao victim's sister over Thailand criticism

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Post by obelisks »

when I read things like this I question what the fuck am I doing in this corrupt cesspool? I mean how sick can you get to pursue a grieving family?
I hope this spreads right around the world.Thailand has lost the plot totally. I hope the Cambodian tourist board has a field day with this.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Yes, more and more Chinese and Koreans who don't give a shit about issues. On the negative side of the ledger, however, the country has seen foreign investment plummet by tens of billions of dollars (no exaggeration) in foreign investment in 2015.

Petition calling for a UK investigation of the murders:
https://www.change.org/p/david-cameron- ... ller#share
The sister's message, which I think has been taken down now:
https://www.change.org/p/david-cameron- ... u/14937686

It must be very frustrating to deal with the Thai cops/authorities. I wish her luck.

that's interesting about the petition but David Cameron is too much of a pussy to do anything. you need someone with a Donald Trump type mentality who won't be intimidated by political correctness- hate him or like him he gets the job done

You're way off track here Obs. This has nothing to do with politically correct (and even less to do with old DT lol) and everything to do with 'realpolitik' : http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/realpolitik
Seems the UK relies on the Thais for covert information among other things. Reasons of state precede justice. ("Reasons of state" can also include stuff like big business contracts of course.)
IMO the UK are getting rolled by the Thais, but we will never know because it is all conveniently Top Secret.
