In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Was in Phuket for the first time in 1985. Still the closest to paradise of any place I've visited especially Nai Harn.

I went back again in 2000 and won't return there again. Still a place with beautiful beaches but way too overpopulated for my liking.

Who goes to beaches regularly here anyway? You'll just end up with melanoma.

Sit on a beach, get melanoma. Sit in a bar, get a bad liver and lung cancer from passive smoking. Sit in your living room, get obese watching TV and eating junk food all day.John Bingham wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 10:48 pm Who goes to beaches regularly here anyway? You'll just end up with melanoma.

I went to Koh Samui in the early 90s. Looked on streetview and I was like WTF?
It's like what happened in Sihanoukville but took 20 years not 2.
