UK Passport Renewal
Re: UK Passport Renewal
From the day you sent your application off, how long was it before they debited your credit card?Cowshed Cowboy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 4:14 pm Just a bit of current information that may be useful to anyone renewing their UK passport from Thailand, ( or Cambodia for that matter ), I received notification from VFS Global in Bangkok today my new passport was ready for collection - 11 weeks and 2 days from submission in August.
Mine was 4 days, which gives me hope of an improved turnaround time, but I do like wishful thinking.

Like you it was pretty quick might only have been a couple of days, unsurprisingly the one thing they seem to be efficient at . Not wishing to be a harbinger of doom but I asked the guy at VFS that gave me mine whether waiting time had dropped now and he said it had increased although he didn't say by how long. I find it hard to believe they haven't got on top of the issue by now.Doc67 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 2:23 pmFrom the day you sent your application off, how long was it before they debited your credit card?Cowshed Cowboy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 4:14 pm Just a bit of current information that may be useful to anyone renewing their UK passport from Thailand, ( or Cambodia for that matter ), I received notification from VFS Global in Bangkok today my new passport was ready for collection - 11 weeks and 2 days from submission in August.

Yes sir, I can boogie, I can boogie, boogie, boogie all night long.
Re: UK Passport Renewal
Just to make it clear, VFS handle the receipt of the application/supporting docs and forwarding same to the UK, then they handle the handover of the passport once it arrives at their office in Phnom Penh or Bangkok or wherever. The transport of the application and the passport normally takes about 48 hours each way on DHL. VFS have nothing to do with the actual processing of the application or issuing of the passport.

It's seems a sleezy weekend in Patts for Christmas looks unlikely...Cowshed Cowboy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 5:49 pmLike you it was pretty quick might only have been a couple of days, unsurprisingly the one thing they seem to be efficient at . Re: UK Passport Renewal
As you know every weekend in Pattaya is a sleazy weekend, up to 3,000 bikini clad babes expected today for the Bikini Beach Run. Don't often go into town these days but may have to venture in in a purely obervational capacity.Doc67 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 9:10 amIt's seems a sleezy weekend in Patts for Christmas looks unlikely...Cowshed Cowboy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 5:49 pmLike you it was pretty quick might only have been a couple of days, unsurprisingly the one thing they seem to be efficient at .
