Land of Smiles

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

There are many types of Thai food usually grouped by regions. My favourite is probably Isaan (north east Thailand). Found one close to home known as Kalasin (as in the province)

Recently found a new 2 months old halal restaurant at mainly Muslim area in Bangkok (Minburi).

Been a crazy first 6 months of the year for work. So in search of a break it finally came last week when I planned to spend 2 week away from work travelling alone to Switzerland for the first time.

So left Bangkok early morning of Thursday (Wednesday night)
