Land of Smiles

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Left is fish maw soup, right is a plate of - little fish ikan bills, salted egg, chai-por and minced pork stir fry with black olives, to be eaten with white porridge. Then there is a plate of onion omelette.

Singapore style of chai por nhung is chopped chai por fry until very fragrant and then add eggs covering the chai por.

Thai style is done mainly with un-chop chai por and then stir fry with a little egg. Egg is added with the chai por meaning chai por is always still pretty raw.

Closing up the photo you can see the Thai style chai por nhung bottom left : un-chop in strips, uncooked and with very little egg.

Not sure about that. I have ducked a few curries after looking at them, especially in Chiang Rai where they put the weirdest ingredients into them. :BangHead: :BangHead:
