Korean knocked-out in fight with Motorbike Taxi Driver in Central Pattaya
Posted on March 14, 2015 at 4:12 am
A video has been shared and viewed many times on various social media channels recently which appears to show a Motorbike Taxi Driver punch a Korean tourist and render him unconscious.
The video was known to have been taken by someone at the Ann Bar, located at the front of Soi 5 on Pattaya Second Road in the early hours of Thursday.
The Korean man had accumulated a bill of 1,150 Baht in the bar and did not have enough money to pay so told staff that he would go back to his Hotel in Soi 4 and get the money and then return.
The man did not return for some hours and when he did he told staff that he had left his hat at the bar and made no mention of paying his bill. He also refused to pay a Motorbike Taxi Driver 200 Baht which was the agreed price for his journey to the bar from his previous location which is thought to have been somewhere in South Pattaya.
A fight ensued between the pair which was captured on video which shows the taxi driver punching the Korean in the face. The Korean then falls to the ground and appears unconscious. He was checked by foreign patrons in the bar to ensure he was still alive as other onlookers cheered and a Baht Bus used his horn multiple times to acknowledge the knockout punch.
We understand the Korean was returned to his Hotel safely and he did eventually pay the Bar Bill. Pattaya Police are currently not involved in the case as neither side have reported the incident, and until they do, a prosecution
