Immigration clarifies new regulations for foreigners in Chia

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Yes, and I'm sure they will change it again by the end of the day. And again. And again. Great way to run a country.

every country's immigration policy changes all the time.

Pre 9/11
it was quite easy to take a thai girl back on a finance visa to the states,
or for a thai to travel to Europe or anywhere out of Asia
Now......

Fuck if the UK didn't change their immigration policy to the way it is, u wouldn't have so many moslems moving over and fucking the country .

Immigration is always a work in progress

i'm not happy of this development, i wanted to see thailand pushing things to the extreme but i guess it didn't take long for them to realize they were shooting themselves in the foot, why else do you think they backpedaled so fast ?

I've heard that the General's weekly national TV appearance has turned into quite a comedy slot for the Thais. I caught the second one before I left and there were a few laugh out loud moments I have to say.
Yes sir, I can boogie, I can boogie, boogie, boogie all night long.

Especially when he mentions the phrase "Thailand's democracy".

What I don't understand is that there are still so many people who want to live there. Last time I've been there is 25 years ago, and they were so rude and impertinent that I swore to myself: never, never, never again. Idiotic fucking racists.

Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht

In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist

why?

For me, cause its easy
you can get everything you can get back home but still live in SE Asia an feel your in SE Asia
Great food
weather is fantastic, I can swim 365 days a year!!!
Most thais are very nice people

To each their own, i have been here almost 30 years (except for a year back in the states an 1 in Cambodia)

Everyone lives where they feel at home
