Has the ThaiVisa Forum Shriveled Substantially?

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

GMJS-CEO wrote: Sun Oct 29, 2017 8:09 am Oddly I’ve never been to Phuket. Always Bangkok, Pattaya and Koh Samui, and I loved KS so much I went back and decided Phuket was likely too touristy for my liking. KS is where I completed my Scuba license, classroom in NYC and ocean dives in KS
Cant handle samui, way to touristy for me. On phuket plenty of places u can go and not see tourists. In samui, impossible
Plus diving in the bay sucks compared to the andaman sea, similans and burma banks :-)
Did my dive masters aboard a live aboard in the similans,,,,,,
Spot on. We have Similan viewpoints on Phuket.

Still have problems pronouncing that word, however.

Phuket is not to be missed.
Wait, u think diving in samui is better...:-)

Couldn't handle Samui either. Loved Khao Lak... until the Chinese found it.
You could be next.

Anyway, back on topic: Thaivisa has been sinking for a 2-3 years now. It used to be so active you could not keep up with topics. Now threads languish for days with barely a new post. I may spend only 2-3 minutes on the site now, a couple of times a day. It's the Bangkok and Pattaya subforms I used to read, both of which were the most active.

I've had some PM exchanges with some members who agree that place has lost a lot of contributors. One of the main causes is the dominance of shit-disturbers. And I think that, judging by the sheer number of former Thailand expats I've been meeting in Cambodia and Vietnam, the place has lost a lot of NorthAm/Euro types, including me. Actually, pretty much every expat I've met used to visit a lot or live in Thailand.

Eww. Now that is very gay!!

They are illegal because they are unregulated and not tested fully on the effects. Also, people get pissed off when some dickwad is puffing away right next to them or someone might think they are actually smoking.
