Not guilty - on this one. Next up disband due to a funding loan at election time, more chance of this one succeeding and perhaps that was the tactic to appear even handed, we'll see.

BANGKOK, Jan 21 (Reuters) - Thailand’s Constitutional Court on Tuesday found key figures of the opposition Future Forward Party not guilty of opposing the country’s monarchy, an allegation that could have seen the high-profile party banned.
The ruling was a relief for the opposition, which has said the anti-monarchy charges were politically motivated to suppress dissent against Thailand’s government headed by a former military junta leader.
The court rejected the claims the party sought to overthrow the monarchy, based on social media posts and academic publications by key members since before the party was founded.

This is fascinating stuff Thanks guys, you got me interested in Thai politics for the first time since early Red/Yellow days.
( of course i thought the Yellows were the white hats, at first, because i did not like Thaksin's deep deep corruption - modern style. Then i just threw my hands up in the air when i realised both groups were basically ratbags)

It seems to me that Thais, as a whole, want it both ways - Rule by God King
and Democracy.
This endless cycle will never stop until there is clear national consensus on who is the ultimate power.
A true "constitutional monarchy" thing will not just magically morph and fit in somehow as a benign stabilising power -
The traditional mystical forces are still too powerful in the thai psyche. Not to mention the deeply entrenched powerful clique that feudal systems support, and which enforce the king's will.
The people and their representative, Parliament, have never staged the ultimate show-down in Thailand.
Maybe Thailand needs the full revolution, like England had in the mid 1600's. ?? Sort it out for good.
It could lead to real, enduring, stability - that does not look like happening in the next million years under the current schizophrenic mind set.
but i am seriously under-informed. This ^^^ is just my impression after a long time (45 years ago i first went there) of very casual watching. Thailand has never ever been my primary interest in the region. Just a hub.
ps, i like the way you guys argue, lol, i'm learning a lot - both about thailand, and about civilised jousting. chuckle. thanks.
