shit is getting real in Bangkok. What stands out to me is the difference between Thailand and Burma

In Burma its going on all over the country
in Thailand its ONLY in Bangkok

Rubber bullets, tear gas fired as rally turns violent

A rally by pro-democracy protesters outside the 1st Infantry Regiment in Bangkok turned violent on Sunday as police fired rubber bullets, water cannon and tear gas at demonstrators trying to approach the barracks.

Demonstrators held up shell casings to show that rubber bullets had been fired at them.

There were no initial reports of injuries,

Protesters threw bottles at police and marched right up to a barricade of shipping containers and barbed wire at the entrance to the base of the 1st Infantry Regiment in Bangkok, one of several army units that government of Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha transferred to the king’s control in 2019.

The Erawan Medical Centre reported at least 16 people were injured in the rally, other reports said 18 were arrested and a police officer on duty died of heart attack

About 1,500 young protesters under of the REDEM (Restart Democracy) banner, began converging at Victory Monument at 3pm before marching to the 1st Infantry Regiment barracks, King's Guard, on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, where Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha's residence is located, according to the Special Branch Bureau.

Actually, no. That's why I left that part out.

Looks like cavemen on both sides in this case. March on a military base in a "mostly peaceful" manner and you get what's coming to you.

although things are not as bad as last year and less protestors it seems, things are still going off

Police crackdown on anti-government protesters near Sanam Luang
After using water cannon and charging down protesters demanding reforms to Thailand’s monarchy near the Grand Palace, police are now trying to advance in multiple lines to clear everyone from the streets.

The unknown factor is what is the K doing? he was slatted to return to Germany last dec but seems he is still here and I am sure he is not a happy camper.
But at least he not sleeping alone
I wonder how the wife feels about his concubine travelling with them?
