David Miller & Hannah Witheridge murdered on Thailand Island

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Sean is a no issue
Potty can go on and on about social media and copy an pasting bullshit but it dont amount to fuck all.

most of Thailand knows who did it;
the Khman's son left Koh Tao in the early morn and had cuts, doctored video from Bangkok, boat owners lying, its all about paying off the right people and having connections. Happens time an time again here.

the big issue is when will the military step in and end this charade.

I'd say there's some chance of that - at least, I'd be inclined to believe that Sean thinks so. It answers a lot of questions.

BANGKOK — Thai police say they are confident that the case of two Burmese migrant workers accused of murdering British tourists in southern Thailand will now move forward to the court after it was initially rejected by prosecutors for being “incomplete.”

State attorneys refused to take up the case earlier this week, citing insufficient evidence and “flaws” in police’s investigation into the murder of British tourists David Miller, 24, and Hannah Witheridge, 23, on Koh Tao island last month.

But today, Pol.Maj.Gen. Paween Pongsirin, deputy commander of Region 8 Police, said the case file is now "perfect."
UK is pissed
Meanwhile, British media is reporting that protesters in London are planning to stage a rally on Friday demanding an independent investigation into the murders.

"Thailand's military ruler General Prayuth Chan-ocha rejected an offer from Britain to help in the investigation into the brutal murders..."

^ Shocking.

The families of the Burmese workers accused of the murder of two British tourists in Thailand last month have said they are innocent, claiming the case has been rigged against them.

Court proceedings reportedly started this week against the men, named in reports as 21-year-old bar workers Zaw Lin and Win Zaw Htun, who are accused of murdering David Miller, 24, and 23-year-old Hannah Witheridge on the island of Koh Tao.

Mr Miller, from Jersey, died from drowning and a blow to the head, while Miss Witheridge, from Great Yarmouth, died from head wounds.

The families of the accused men have told the BBC they believe they did not commit the crime, with Win Zaw Htun's mother adding that the ordeal has left her suicidal.

"The case has been rigged against my son," said Zaw Lin's mother.

On Tuesday Thailand's military ruler General Prayuth Chan-ocha rejected an offer from Britain to help in the investigation into the brutal murders, despite mounting concerns about the way police have handled the case.

During a meeting between Thai diplomat Nadhavathna Krishnamra and Foreign Office minister Hugo Swire this week, concern was raised about how the Thai authorities had handled the investigation, including that police had.....

There's no justice left in the world.

Boko Haram still have 200 schoolgirls hostage-who knows what they've gone through ?

6 months on, families in South Korea are still waiting for updates and any kind of news of their missing children from the Ferry which sank.

The families of the victims of both MH flights still have no answer to the events which lead to their unfortunate situations.

Ebola is still around. HIV/AIDS. Cancer. Global Warming.

As Jamiraquiy once said; "It's such a crazy world we're living in!"
There was no sarcasm or malice intended during the making of this post.

update
More than six months after the highly publicized kidnapping of 276 schoolgirls by Boko Haram in Chibok in northeastern Nigeria, a newly reached cease-fire deal between the Nigerian government and the terrorist group will return the girls to their families, a spokesman for the Nigerian government announced Friday.

Let's stir up some shit. Pure unabashed speculation from a post on Teak Door which I couldn't confirm on the Bangkok Post or the Nation. LINK: http://teakdoor.com/thailand-and-asia-n ... ed-72.html "My wife just said that on channel 3 news earlier, 9-00 AM Thai Time, that the police had admitted they had the wrong suspects, and that they are now looking for different people.
As the news was only in Thai I have no idea what was said, but my wife insists what she heard is true.
I hope the next suspects are in fact the real ones, that in fact most people already believe to be the perpetrators". Also, Burmese media is reporting that the suspects are out on bail (this is bullshit me thinks). LINK: http://www.elevenmyanmar.com/index.php? ... Itemid=384
