What we have here is YouTube Gold. A batshit crazy middle-aged American woman takes to Walking Street armed with her camera phone and lets loose the juice at high volume on everyone in sight telling them what the Lord thinks of their dirty whoring ways.

There was no escaping if she spotted you.

Tourist groups and couples just looking at the bright lights and goings on, bargirls and doormen and of course, the naughty boys were her favourite target. Even people eating bugs got it in the ear.

Below are a few examples of what she was bellowing at full volume. How she managed the night without getting a slap on the chops is a miracle, maybe Jesus was watching over her? 555+

It reminds me of that nutjob walking around Phnom Penh shouting at people to repent. Haven't seen him for a while, though.

He gets out and about around Sovannah Mall regularly but without the megaphone these days.

I couldn't get more than 2min into the video, that's just offensive.

I'm surprised the lady didn't get her ass kicked. A couple of observations:

There is a paucity, bordering on a complete absence, of honkeys on Walking Street - almost all Asian tourists and some very Disneyland families in the bargain.

There seems not a chance in the world, the flesh or the devil that anyone would punch or attack this ardent distracted holy roller. She was roundly ignored or viewed as a slight annoyance. Very much in keeping w the Thai cultural habit.

She serendipitously added to the Gringo Lingo lexicon. "harlet" meaning the shortest girl in the bar.

I'm usually tucked up at home come night time, I prefer more laid back afternoon/sundowner drinks, but very occasionally will stop for one on Walking Street on the way home to people watch. Last time about 5 months ago the demographic reflected what I see as the tourist shift in Pattaya, as you say primarily Chinese tour groups, Arab/Indians and Russians. I'd imagine with the Russian numbers dropping the look of a non honkey tourist attraction will become more pronounced. I usually vow never to go back as the price of a beer just for an ordinary street side beer bar gets ever more ridiculous. Drinkers seem to be a novelty for the gawping tourists and for the bars on walking street these days.

I shall take a walk along the street in a weeks time when I get back just to gauge the feel of the tourist season, hopefully that stupid cow will be back home preaching to somebody who gives a fuck.
