Yes, I remember you saying before. I think you must like getting the local prices too much. But if she eats that much it probably comes out at around the same price as electricity. If you got her to peddle harder, perhaps you could supply a few more houses in the village, and even turn a profit.

LOL. Yeah, that cop was hilarious. Another fine example of farang humanity. It's why I haven't been on the Beach Rd or Walking St or any of the soi bars running up from Beach in 4+ years. And I also left Pats last summer. It's a depressing place when you have to face the human dregs washing up on the shore from all over the world.
80 baht for a beer in Pats is a bit expensive, unless you're on Beach, as I understand it. Otherwise, beers run 50 to 75, except in go-go bars, as I remember it from years ago.

She fucked up for sure!. At the beginning the guy was still seated! It's not like he was walking away refusing to pay. Although they did later. But why would you pay after that treatment? You should be able to contest the price without crap like this. They often pad the drinks bill or get it wrong, I've had to question many bills, especially when with friends. sometimes I just pay if its not a crazy amount and tell them don't agree and won't be back!
80, 90 + baht in a bar like this was normal last year when i visited, but hard to tell here if it was the price of the drink or the total bill that was the problem.

I agree^ . People on these forums have a tendency/ love-lust to always blame the foreigner. I think they are right some of the time, but it is very irksome to hear it continually when the SEAsians are so renowned for price-hicking. An old guy gets a stiletto heel in the eye, and the vast majority of posters on sites like these say he's a cunt and deserved it.Fourkinnel wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2017 1:40 pm She fucked up for sure!. Where did you see someone in this thread siding with the crazy cashier? One doesn't need to pity the old geezer to think what happened to him wasn't warranted.juansweetpotato wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2017 7:17 pmI agree^ . Anyway when in Thailand I am always more alert than here. I think it is verified that thais can go berseck in seconds for what sometimes seem like the silliest motives. Best to see it coming and avoid getting caught in any direct or third party melee.
I also look for daytime preemptive signs like a market shopkeeper refusing to sell me something or myself getting fed up with some thai attitude bullshit.
It does sometimes happen after about 10 days to 2 weeks in the country. Remedy is very simple, drive back to Cambodia and feel very happy to be back home.

I just re-read the entire thread but couldn't find anyone on this forum blaming the foreigner.juansweetpotato wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2017 7:17 pmI agree^ .
