Belfast couple get drugged, raped and robbed in Phuket.

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

lots of holes in their story
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

I thought that too. Sounds a bit like the guy that got abducted drugged and robed by a couple of GSM skanks a week or so ago. More likely that they took a couple of guys or katoeys back to their room for "fun" and ended up getting drugged and robed!
A few others have questioned their story as well.

Matt
As someone who has lived in Phuket for the past 12 years, I can safely say that absolutely nothing about this story is believable. Except the part where they went out for drinks and woke up in the morning not remembering anything...!

I live on the other side of the Gulf (in Pattaya) and I say this story is BS as well. There's enough holes in it that I have to wonder about the person who did the article, or if this whole thing is just a sham story to try and boost circulation.

Gerald and Michael - both 33 - returned to Belfast on Wednesday before undergoing medical tests with their own GP which confirmed they had been raped.
How is a GP in another country supposed to determine that so long after the alleged incident? They said it happened on New Years Eve and didn't fly back to Belfast till the 11th.

Also, assuming they regularly had anal intercourse with each other, how does one determine they'd been raped? I suppose they could have found traces of semen which didn't belong to either one or something...

This is definitely a hard story to swallow with many holes in it.

Yes, especially for a few flamers who regularly sodomize each other.

Another nail in the coffin for Phuket.

Used to be called the Jewell of the Andaman.

Now it's the Glory Hole.
