No lady will be ok with losing 2,000 baht, so you can be sure that ladies will move heaven and earth to get back to the bar. In other words, expect her to be very keen to get the business done quickly.

In Bangkok gogo bars these days, ladies typically request 2,500 – 3,000 baht for short-time although anywhere between 2,000 and 5,000 baht is possible. Ladies who make 5,000 baht every time they go short-time are much less likely to seek work in other bars or online – because in all likelihood they wouldn’t make that much money elsewhere.

Bar owners have been very secretive about this and I can’t get any of those involved to comment on record. I did manage to get comment from one bar boss who did so under the promise of anonymity. When I asked him if he genuinely believes whether customers would pay 6,000 baht, he responded, “Mate you’ve been away too long. Its all changed. Their mugs today mate and theyll pay anything. Some of my girls already get 5000 short time. Covid changed everything, its all changed since then. It’s the experience they want mate. You cant get this anywhere else. Theyll pay it alright just you watch.”

"......The current plan is for the new system to go live on Wednesday, May 1st. For that to happen, every bar needs to be a part of it. If there are any hold-outs, it won’t work well. The initial plan was to start on Monday, April 1st, but with Songkran next week, the proposed start date has been pushed back a month.
