I would wait until you need to for software you want to use. New features means that it is going to be harder on your computer.

The best thing you can do regarding Windows OS is to use the debloated or stripped down versions. The Compact version is a complete version that is debloated with or without Defender. The SuperLite version is stripped down, with or without Defender, for people who are gamers. They have many other version like ,8,10,11 etc check them out on YouTube, Telegram, FaceBook. They are also great for those with older machines that have limited storage or RAM.

For me I'll never go back to the Corporate versions

To answer your original questions when I updated from 10 to 11 it seems to operate snappier but takes some getting used to as the setting/menu etc are different. All in all it doesn't have any innovations or added abilities that make switching worth while but do consider the Compact GhostSpectre Versions
