Will CEO follow Fecebooks lead
Gen/Dragon;
god i hope so, keep those trolls out;
http://tech.thaivisa.com/facebook-may-add-like-button/Facebook’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, says that the company is considering ways in which they could implement a “Dislike” mechanism. At a recent event in California, he said that it’s one of the features most often requested by users, who have repeatedly said there should be a way to express dissatisfaction about posts.

Facebook is clearly copying us. We had negative karma first, and now Mark is adding a "dislike" button.
I hope he has a team of good lawyers.

^Or you can reply and quote the post or part of any post you dislike or disagree with along with a short sentence about why you disagree or dislike what was written, which in turn can generate actual discussion and debate...or not.

What a shitty post. It's much more fun to click on a "I hate this shit"' buttonyou can reply and quote the post or part of any post you dislike or disagree with along with a short sentence about why you disagree

You still seem to not be able to figure this out. It's "for" a post or "for" a poster, depending on where you give it from. Though the full total does accumulate for the user, most people give it for a post by that user.phuketrichard wrote:negative karma = against poster

LOL
A user's karma therefore should be seen as their cumulative "likes" and "dislikes" over the whole forum, giving other posters an idea of the "type" of poster they are.
Your sole objection is based on the fact that it keeps count.
Re: Will CEO follow Fecebooks lead
To keep the "Like" subject on the boil: I am more likely to read a post with 2-3 Likes than a poster with xxx Karma points. A Like flag tells me quickly that maybe I ought to read this post. I don't even look at the karma points anymore because I already know whether I like a poster's style or not. OK, for newbies, it may be slightly useful, but a post with Likes is more specific and the Likes remain with that post. Karma points actually don't tell anything about that thread or the individual posts.
