Re: VPN choices
Cyberghost is simple to use and gave me instant reply to an issue I had. Would recommend!

Re: VPN choices
I'm using Torguard but it scores pretty badly on there. I only use it for watching AU TV though. And my Opennet IP address when I'm not using it is based in Hanoi anyway. Have fun finding me there.

Re: VPN choices
Those may be the best of the best. IDK
But I believe this:
Global Mass Surveillance - The Fourteen Eyes
UKUSA Agreement
The UKUSA Agreement is an agreement between the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand to cooperatively collect, analyze, and share intelligence. Members of this group, known as the Five Eyes, focus on gathering and analyzing intelligence from different parts of the world. While Five Eyes countries have agreed to not spy on each other as adversaries, leaks by Snowden have revealed that some Five Eyes members monitor each other’s citizens and share intelligence to avoid breaking domestic laws that prohibit them from spying on their own citizens. The Five Eyes alliance also cooperates with groups of third party countries to share intelligence (forming the Nine Eyes and Fourteen Eyes), however Five Eyes and third party countries can and do spy on each other.
Five Eyes
1. Australia
2. Canada
3. New Zealand
4. United Kingdom
5. United States of America
Nine Eyes
6. Denmark
7. France
8. Netherlands
9. Norway
Fourteen Eyes
10. Belgium
11. Germany
12. Italy
13. Spain
14. Sweden
Yes there are those that think I am paranoid. I don't think so. When simple compass apps ask me for permissions to see my photos/contacts etc. Something smells. VPN's & apps not same same I know. But!
Why does a VPN give its services away? So that you see ads? Don't think so in total. They sell the data to someone.
I'll stick with this premise; "If something is free, you are the product."
I have been using PIA for 1 1/2 yr. now with new (opennet) service it doesn't configure properly. Shopping for new.

Re: VPN choices
Whatever you choose, make sure to google up a coupon code for a discount of 50-70% before paying. Many of them have offers out there you wont see promoted on their sites.

look at cyperghost,Why does a VPN give its services away? So that you see ads?
Founded in 2011 in Bucharest, Romania, CyberGhost is the creator of one of the world's most reliable privacy and security solutions in the world. The company secures and anonymizes the online presence of over 15 million users across the globe. CyberGhost defends privacy as a basic human right, being the first in the industry to publish a transparency report while building new user-oriented crypto-technology for the future.

This is good read in support by co-founder.
VPNMentor:
Tell us more about CyberGhost’ “Smart Technology”?
Our goal is that a user will no longer have to start and configure a VPN to solve a problem, we want to offer the solution before a problem occurs. So if a user in Germany types the url of Netflix, we move him to US server without the user needing to select that he wants to watch Netflix or that he wants to use a US server. If we see a torrent download, we focus on speed. If we detect an unprotected Wi-Fi, we focus on security. And so forth.
