In general non democratic countries have been blamed for hack attacks rather a lot. North Korea for attacking NHS, china, Russia. very rarely see reports about hackers in democratic countries.

Re: VPN choices
Go strong or go straight - NordVPN. Don't muck about with cheap and nasty alternatives.

Re: VPN choices
I've been using NordVPN for well over a year and have experienced no problems with it.

Re: VPN choices
Expressvpn is excellent. They offer a speedy VPN service and a DNS alternative for Netflix streaming on Apple TV, etc.

Re: VPN choices
Nord VPN when it works is great and fast.
But over the past month it has been terrible for Amazon (UK on iOS ) and BBC.
It’s been down more than it’s been up. Currently down and they can’t give any indication of when it will work again - nor even if they are actually working on a solution.

Re: VPN choices
Same behavior as PIA (private internet access). Problems connecting to Europe.
