You think SIGNAL MESSAGING APP is Private/Secure? Think Again

Israeli phone-hacking firm Cellebrite can now break into Signal, an encrypted app considered safe from external snooping, it claimed in a blog post on Thursday. Meanwhile, a U.S. report revealed Friday that American school districts have also bought the firm’s technology.

Cellebrite’s phone-hacking technology is intended for law enforcement agencies and is sold across the world. However, critics have long slammed the company for selling its wares to states with poor human rights records, from Indonesia and Venezuela to Belarus and Saudi Arabia.

I think after the SolarWinds hack, we can wisely assume that absolutely nothing is private or secure.

If someone wants to know your stuff, they are going to figure out a way to do it.

And the only way to to get the privacy or security back, is to burn those online records down to the ground.

If the US's national security systems were really and truly infiltrated as was reported in the news recently, then the claim of impenetrability of everything else no longer holds water.

No such thing as a keyless lock. There is always a key somewhere out there.

If it’s made by people, it can be broken by people. All claims of infallibility, in anything, should have ended with the Titanic.
