OneSimCard good only in theory

Post by Georgina »

Getting fed up notifying my banks in Hong Kong, Singapore and Cambodia every time my phone number changes (required for SMS messages for security device actions such as online purchases and wire transfers). Plus pulling out SIM cards and changing every time I cross a border.

So, I have been looking into both multi-SIM mobile phones (unfortunately only 2-SIM seem to work well, no?) and I came across this...

OneSimCard

In theory it sounds good. In some countries one gets free incoming calls, roaming and data (e.g. Hong Kong, Vietnam, Sri Lanka). In others, only roaming and data (Cambodia, Laos, Pakistan); in yet others, only roaming (Bangladesh); some zero of all (Burma); some incoming, roaming but no data (Mongolia).

But then I looked at the rates for Cambodia. Yikes! This is clearly a tool for lazy rich people.

Another similar company is Go Sim. Anyone tried these?

Go Sim? In Cambodia? Never heard of them.

I noticed today that cell card has international roaming available, don't know whether that's any use to you.
