^^ Haha, funny you should say that, I actually hesitated over whether say 'will' or 'should'. Originally I was going to say 'will', but to err on the side of caution I chose 'should'.
I expect all 'will' be fine, but backup your important stuff.
An unpatched MS windows connected to the internet is a hackers dream.

Re: Never updated Windows 7
I would update it, as others have said, but take a back-up first and make certain you don't update any of MS windows 10 upgrade crap or the updates that track your behavior. Unless you want that on your PC.
There are many sites which will tell you what updates you don't want. It's a tedious process. Getting rid of it after the fact is even more so.

Re: Never updated Windows 7
There are a load of exploits for services and policies implemented on Windows 7/2008. That shit is ten years old, yo, the NSA have had a long time to crack it. Just browsing the interweb can get you infected, even if you are running anti-malware and AV software. Flash being one of the main sources of that shit, for example. Update your system and keep it up to date. As to Windows 10, it seems fine now. With all MS products you skip the one immediately after the good one, as it'll be shit, and then upgrade to the latest one once it's had service pack 2, which is pretty much what has just happened.
Re: Never updated Windows 7
I use RollBack RX home it's free and take snapshots (backup) of your whole computer and only takes seconds to do and will allow you to restore your computer even if windows won't even load/boot up.

It's nothing personal. It's about controlling your machine to use in a ddos attack.
