Re: Made the switch
Rooting is not necessary. I successfully upgraded to Lollipop and everything Khmer stuck just fine. Can you still write Khmer?General Mackevili wrote:Fuck. This is not good news.
I just noticed that I can still cut and paste the boxes (Khmer script) and Google Translate it. At least that, but I need to find a way to display it.
Looks like I might need to root this time around after all.
Thx.

Just not displaying now (Facebook won't, but I can see web pages).
Strange.

That's strange. I wonder if you need to install additional fonts.General Mackevili wrote:I never write Khmer before.Jacobincambodia wrote:Rooting is not necessary. Re: Made the switch
Maybe it's because I have the Saudi firmware. However, that's what I had before the update, and Khmer worked fine.

Re: Made the switch
I have an inkling to change from iOS to droid but... just can't do it! I love my FaceTime and iMessage, plus I'm fully integrated in their "cloud" with iTunes.
Plus my parents and gf have an iPhone and they specifically have it because of the easy, no-brain'er, FaceTime/iMessage integration. Trying to get my parents to use anything else would be like teaching Rose Bar girl good manners.

Re: Made the switch
Duly noted re parents but seriously FaceTime and imessage only advantage is they are built in. It's not difficult to get the same functionality on Android with Hangouts/Viber/Whatever.thePeck wrote:I have an inkling to change from iOS to droid but... just can't do it! I can't remember exactly, but at one time you talked about a music app that was on Apple, not Android. What was that about? Might have been 2+ years ago.JBTrain wrote:Duly noted re parents but seriously FaceTime and imessage only advantage is they are built in.
