Click at the top right of any Facebook page.
Click How do I stop someone from bothering me?
Enter the name or email address of the person you want to block and click Block.
If you entered a name, select the specific person you want to block from the list that appears.

you need to not be following them but have them following you (after all, why would you follow someone who was a creep or psycho? . Then click on your “Followers” link and find them or just go straight to their Twitter profile page.
Either way, click on “block”

Vladimir, sweety dunsai !!!! Why is it that I haven't expected anything better than the above from you ?vladimir wrote:Hahaha, now you understand why you shouldn't have given that ho your facebook ID, LOL
Richard, thanx for your reply, but don't you get fooled by Vladimir. I just wish to block shit sites on my computer's guest account. It's as simple as that, and the reason why I wish to do that is actually irrelevant.

I don't think what you are asking is possible.Advocatus Diaboli wrote:How do I block Facebook, Twitter, Youtube...........on the Ubuntu guest account ?
However, there is a manual work around which will work, but may not be convenient (depending on how often you want to access those sites).
Edit the hosts file.
In step 4 I would also add the www version as well, like this (without the "quotation marks")Step 1
Log in to the Ubuntu machine.
Step 2
Open a Terminal from the System Menu on the operating system.
Step 3
Type "nano /etc/hosts" and press "Enter" to open the hosts file in a text editor.
Step 4
Type "facebook.com 127.0.0.1" on a new line in the hosts file.
Step 5
Save the file to block access to Facebook. When a user tries to access Facebook, all connections are redirected back to the computer instead of making it out to the Internet.

"www.facebook.com 127.0.0.1"
Then next time you wanted to access those sites, you can just # the lines in the hosts file. Like this
#www.facebook.com 127.0.0.1
Don't forget to change it back before your guest uses the computer.

Thank you I also don't think that it is possible (not on guest accounts), but I'll give it try. Thank you.

It works computer wide, not accounts. It will block those sites for all users. That's why I said you need to change it back when you need it or don't need it.Advocatus Diaboli wrote:Thank you I also don't think that it is possible (not on guest accounts), but I'll give it try. Thank you.
