IMAGES:
1. Images from the internet.
Let’s say you see a nice image on a website that you would like to add to your post:
Right-click on the image, and click on ‘Copy Image Location’.
Then in your post, click on the Image icon above the post text area. This will give you the
Hit Preview to see if it worked.
If it didn’t work, it’s probably because you have the selected the URL icon instead of Img icon.
You must have:
Opening square bracket + img + Closing square bracket <image url> Opening square bracket + / + img + Closing square bracket. Anything else will fail.
2. Images from Google Image search.
Find the image that you want and open it in a new tab.
On the right, you have the choice to ‘Visit Page’ or ‘View Image’. Click on View Image.
At the top you will have the URL for the image. Copy the URL.
Then in your post, click on the Image icon above the post text area. This will give you the 'img' tags.
Your cursor should be in the middle of the image tags. Right click and Paste.
Hit Preview to see if it worked.
3. Images from your PC.
Click on the Imgur image uploader button, see pic below. Then select the image you want from your PC.

Unfortunately, the image url will often appear at the bottom of your post, so you may need to cut and paste it to the position that you want it.
Hit Preview to see if it worked.
If you have several images to upload and they are not too large, you can now place images next to each other to save space. (As below).

VIDEOS:
1. Videos from Youtube.
Open the Youtube video that you want to share. The Youtube URL will look something like this:
The only part of that URL that you need is the part to the right of the equals sign. i.e r1-8r5XTLqo
Copy that number.
Then in your post, click on the ‘youtube’ icon above the post text area. This will give you the https://youtube.com/watch?v= tags.
Your cursor should be in the middle of the youtube / youtube. Right click and Paste.
Hit Preview to see if it worked.
2. Videos from Vimeo:
As above, but click on the ‘vimeovideo’ button, and add the video number on the end of the URL.
For the above video, you only need ‘144123742’ between the 'vimeovideo' tags.
http://vimeo.com/144123742
3. Videos from Liveleak:
As above, but click on the ‘liveleak’ button, and add the video number on the end of the URL.
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=81f_1446236831
For the above video, you only need ‘81f_1446236831’ between the [liveleak] tags.

4. Videos from Facebook:
For a Facebook video to work, it must be available to the Public. You can see this by the little ‘globe’ icon in the bottom right below the video, where it says ‘Shared with <globe icon> Public’. (See #1 in the image below).
If you are logged in to Facebook, you can right-click on the video, and click on ‘Show video URL’. (See #2 in the image below).

After clicking on ‘Show video URL’, the URL that you need will appear at the top of the video. Right-click and Copy the URL. (See image below).

The above, is the correct way to get the video’s URL.
However, if you don’t play Facebook or are too lazy to log-in, you can copy the URL from the top of your browser. This also seems to work, but there is no guarantee that this will work forever.
Next, in your new post, click on the ‘FBvideo’ button, then paste the entire URL between the

Unfortunately this is no longer possible. If you want to upload a video of your own, you will need to upload it to either Youtube, Vimeo or Facebook.

Sorry, I don't see a direct way to do this. Maybe I have to signup or something.Anchor Moy wrote:How to post a Dailymotion video ?

And now for the Good News: (keep in mind, we're dealing with the big WWW here)
1. Follow your link.
2. HIghlight and copy the name of the video. In this case, "Images de la fusillade au Bataclan".
3. Go to youtube.com and paste the above 'Images de la fusillade au Bataclan'.
4. Press Enter.
Then just follow the original How-To for how to link to a youtube video.
Here you go.

Re: How To: Attach Images And Videos To Posts.
I was thinking of attempting a trip report on my little excursion next week if I can come back with anything remotely interesting. Posting a load of photos if I'm not too pissed to get them in focus would probably make it more worthwhile.
I usually take pictures in raw format but would I be right in saying the files would likely be too big to post and I should stick to jpeg format ?
Thanks.
