Haha, ok.....

No, you didn't "post" that exactly, but it's in your post as quoted from someone else, so that preview shows that, BUT if you open that link, you will clearly see that is a quote.

I hope that's clear. I was thinking you had a mysterious ghostwriter at first. I could use one of those this week.

I always use Sellotape myself. Not that cheap Chinese crap. Maybe that's your problem?

Image

How To Post An Image That You Found On a Web Site.

1. Go to the website and choose your image.

2. Right click on the image and CHOOSE copy image address

3. Go to CEO and make our new post. Click on Img at the top of the post window. Near the quote button.

4. Paste your image url you just copied in between the brackets.

EG Image (remember not to include the "-" marks. They are just to show you what it looks like here)

CLICK submit to submit your post as normal and your image should appear. If it doesn't check for spaces between the url and the brackets. There should be none. Also check that the brackets are on the same line.

IF Your Image Is From Your Computer/ Camera etc.

1. Go to imgur.com

2. Click On Upload Images.

3. Choose your file and click on Start Upload

4. When your image has completed uploading copy the direct link url and post it between the img brackets as per 4 above.

How To Attach Videos

1. Go to Youtube and find the video you want to post.

2. Right Click on the video and CHOOSE Copy Video URL

3. instead of choosing the img, CHOOSE the youtube button.

4. Post the url you just copied in between the youtube brackets.

That has nothing to do with images. Check your PM.

just joined...(hello!) and was trying to upload an image from my computer to update (edit) my avatar. it seems, from what I can tell, that the only option on the 'edit avatar page', in the 'user control panel' option is to link avatars from other web sites. is it not possible to upload a pic from ones own pc? full disclosure, I did not read the list of posts in this thread proper, scanned it quick and didn't see appropriate info. little help?

cheers

Yeah, looks like you have a choice of 'Remote Avatar' or nothing. :(

What you can do is go back to the first page of this thread, here > > https://cambodiaexpatsonline.com/announc ... ml#p101046
follow the directions for 'Images from your PC'. Then, when you get the Tinypic url, copy that, strip off the [IMG] tags from both ends, then place the url in your User Control Panel for 'remote image url'.

Good luck.
