Not pre programmed to do flips.

Learns to do by watching. Similar to human learning.

Like the Tesla car in self driving.

AI is only as good as its human programmer and everyone is getting all bent about it going Skynet!
Take that chess AI; play it at connect four and it will lose.

AI is zeitgeist and everyone (media, social media) are jumping on the band wagon.

The singularity won't come about because of "human programmers", AI will be the one writing its own code that leads to the singularity.

What the fuck is a singularity and how is it relevant to AI, did you hear that in a movie once?

Maybe, but I can bet the people writing these articles and everyone on this forum, and even some scientists, have no idea about if it can and how it would do it.
Personally I think its an inbuilt human fear inherited from their parents/grand parents after watching movies since the 50s of robots/AI decimating humans!

Same for when aliens come and visit they are surely here to turn us all into slaves and steal our water and ginger people.
